§1 Tracked links, explained
Every Check availability button points at the hotel's official website. A share of those links carry a referral tag, and when a reader goes on to book, the hotel or a partner network may pay the publisher. Your price is untouched by any of this.
§2 What the money funds
Referral commission is how the paper pays its way. Hotels do not pay to appear, and the order of the ten is not for sale.
§3 Our publisher's stake
MGM Yonkers, Inc. publishes this paper and operates a casino venue in Yonkers. Lacking a hotel, that venue is not listed. The publisher owns none of the ten, and the lead dispatch was picked by the desk exactly like the others. Still, the publisher has a business interest in the very region these dispatches cover, so keep that in view as you read.
§4 What commission cannot buy
Referral fees have no say over rank, wording or which facts make it into print. A hotel paying nothing can earn a dispatch, and a paying one can lose its place if it stops meeting the four tests.
